In February of 2019 ColloCaid Principal Investigator Ana Frankenberg-Garcia gave a plenary talk entitled Integrating dictionary and text-editor architectures to help writers with academic English collocations at the Specialised Discourse and Multimedia conference at the University of Salento in Lecce, Italy. She began by giving an overview of how pedagogical dictionaries have evolved, and of some of the obstacles in the way of getting writers to become better users of lexicographic tools and resources. She then presented the ColloCaid project explaining the rationale underlying its lexicographic coverage and data visualisation decisions, and giving a demo of the prototype.
